Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of an open office layout at Citiasia Inc, identify the constraints encountered, and formulate alternative solutions to address these challenges. The research employs a descriptive analysis method with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through direct observation of workplace conditions, in-depth interviews with relevant parties, and supporting documentation. Data analysis was conducted through stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the implementation of the open office layout at Citiasia Inc has been carried out and has facilitated interaction among employees as well as the utilization of workspace, particularly within the same division. However, its implementation still faces several challenges, including noise levels that disrupt work concentration, limited availability of dedicated discussion spaces, suboptimal arrangement of supporting facilities, and differences in employees’ job characteristics. The proposed alternative solutions include reorganizing the workspace, providing discussion rooms and dedicated work areas, using soundproofing elements, and implementing work zoning based on types of activities. This study is expected to serve as an evaluation material and recommendation for the company in optimizing the implementation of an open office layout to be more effective, comfortable, and supportive of employee productivity.
