This study aims to explore the educational values contained in the Adabul Alim wal Muta’allim manuscript by KH Hasyim Asy’ari. This book is one of the essential references in the Islamic educational tradition that emphasizes the importance of adab (ethics) in the teaching and learning process. Using a qualitative approach through literature study and content analysis methods, this research identifies core educational concepts such as the virtue of knowledge, teacher-student relationships, ethics in seeking knowledge, and the integration between knowledge and practice. The findings indicate that KH Hasyim Asy’ari places adab as the foundational element in education, preceding technical or methodological aspects. The educational values found in the manuscript are not only contextually relevant in his time but also applicable in today’s educational landscape, especially in character building, academic ethics reinforcement, and the spiritual development of learners. This study recommends the integration of adab-based Islamic educational values into modern educational systems to cultivate knowledgeable, ethical, and socially responsible generations.
