Penerapan Model Gallery Walk dalam Meningkatkan Rasa Keingintahuan Siswa

Curiosity is an important aspect in the learning process that encourages students to explore, ask questions, and find out new things. One of the learning models that can foster cooperation and student activeness is the Gallery Walk model. This study aims to describe the steps, advantages, and disadvantages of implementing the Gallery Walk model in social studies learning at MTs Negeri 1 Klaten, MTs Negeri 5 Karanganyar, and MAN 1 Kebumen. Using a qualitative approach with interview techniques, observation, and documentation of social studies teachers as informants, this study found that the steps of implementing Gallery Walk include the formation of small groups, determining topics, making work on flipchart paper, presentations between groups, and joint correction and summarization. This model increases activeness, cooperation, and mutual respect between students. However, its weaknesses include a long time to build effective cooperation, imbalance of participation, and the potential for classroom noise. Overall, the Gallery Walk model is effective in increasing students' curiosity and learning outcomes in social studies learning.
