Penerapan Model Silent Demonstration dalam Meningkatkan Kreativitas Siswa pada Pembelajaran Seni

Creativity is an important aspect in developing students' potential which includes critical thinking, exploration, and problem solving. One of the learning models that can foster student activeness and creativity is Silent Demonstration. This study aims to describe the steps, advantages, and disadvantages of applying the Silent Demonstration model in Art learning at MTs Negeri 1 Klaten, MTs Negeri 5 Karanganyar, MAN Sukoharjo, MAN 1 Kebumen, and MAN 1 Magelang using a qualitative approach through interviews, observations, and documentation of Art teachers. The results showed that the steps of applying this model include determining learning procedures, visual demonstration with minimal explanation, discussion between students in pairs, re-explanation by students, and independent practice challenges. The advantages of this model make students understand the material better, improve skills, courage, and cooperation. The disadvantages are the limitations of practical media, complicated topics are difficult to practice, and the lack of trained student imagination. Overall, the Silent Demonstration model is effective in improving students' creativity and learning outcomes in Art learning.
