Joyful Learning dalam Meningkatkan Minat Belajar pada Siswa Madrasah Ibtidaiyah

This study aims to explore the implementation of joyful learning and its impact on enhancing students' learning interest in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (Islamic Elementary School). Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews with teachers, analysis of lesson planning documents, and participatory observation in six Madrasah Ibtidaiyah across Central Java. The findings indicate that joyful learning is implemented through various innovative strategies such as field exploration, the use of local stories, educational games (board games, matching games), visual media, and singing methods. This approach successfully creates a joyful, interactive, and meaningful learning environment, directly supporting active learning principles and fostering students' intrinsic motivation. A significant impact was observed on students' learning interest, characterized by feelings of joy, high engagement with the material, full attention, and active participation in learning activities. Nevertheless, the study also identified challenges such as limited resources and teacher time, as well as the need for more holistic assessment integration. This research concludes that joyful learning is an effective approach to enhance students' learning interest in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, but requires systematic support for sustainable implementation.
