Analisis Persepsi Orang Tua Tentang Kualitas Pendidikan Anak di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri dan Swasta di Dusun B, Desa Parumaan

This study aims to understand parents' perceptions of the quality of education for children at public and private junior high schools in Nebura Hamlet, Kojagete Village. The research approach used is qualitative with a descriptive method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with students' parents and observations of the school environment. The research results show that parents' perceptions are influenced by several main factors, namely teacher competence, school facilities, learning environment, communication between school and parents, as well as the child's academic and behavioral development. Parents who choose public junior high schools generally consider the teacher's experience and cost aspects, while parents who choose private junior high schools place more emphasis on discipline, facilities, and more intensive supervision of students. This study concludes that the quality of education is not solely determined by the school's status, but by how the school provides quality, communicative, and responsive educational services to meet students' needs. These findings are expected to serve as input for schools in improving the quality of education and strengthening relationships with parents.
