Peran Sekolah Dalam Membentuk Karakter Dan Etika Siswa Di Tengah Tantangan Era Digital

Abstract

 This study examines the role of schools in shaping students' character and ethics amidst the rapidly evolving digital era. Technological advances influence students' behavior and thinking, both positively and negatively. Schools, as educational institutions, have an obligation to teach moral norms and social values so that students can face the changing times with good and ethical attitudes. This study employed a literature review method with a qualitative approach. Data sources included books, scientific journals, and relevant research findings. The results indicate that schools play a crucial role in shaping character education through teacher examples, the instillation of moral values, and religious and social activities at school. Furthermore, teachers serve as role models and mentors in addressing the influence of social media on student behavior. Through collaboration between schools, teachers, parents, and the community, it is hoped that the development of students' character and ethics can continue to develop despite the challenges of the digital era.
