Pengembangan Bahan Ajar Pendidikan Agama Islam Berbasis Video Untuk Meningkatkan Pemahaman Siswa Tentang Tata Cara Sholat di SMK Turen tahun 2025

This study aims to develop video-based Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teaching materials to enhance students’ understanding of the proper procedures of prayer (shalat) at SMK Turen in 2025. The background of this research stems from students’ low level of understanding in performing prayer correctly, which is influenced by the use of conventional teaching methods, limited time for practical activities, and teaching materials that are less engaging. This research and development (R&D) study employs the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The teaching material was developed in the form of an interactive video with a duration of 8 minutes and 25 seconds, presenting the sequence of prayer movements and recitations through visualizations, narration, and supporting text. The validation results from subject-matter and media experts indicate a feasibility level of 89.6%, categorized as very feasible. Field testing involving 30 tenth-grade students showed a significant improvement in students’ understanding, as evidenced by an increase in the average pre-test score from 68.3 to 88.7 in the post-test. Students’ responses were also highly positive, with 92% stating that the video helped them understand the material, 87% reporting that it made it easier to remember the prayer movements and recitations, and 85% indicating that the learning process became more engaging. The findings confirm that video-based teaching materials are effective in improving both conceptual understanding and practical skills of students. Therefore, this media is suitable to be used as an innovative alternative for PAI learning and can be adapted for other worship-related materials.
