Abstract

In the midst of rapid technological development and globalization, Generation Z is faced with great challenges in maintaining and preserving the democratic values of Pancasila. As a generation that grew up with digital sophistication, they are greatly affected by the flow of global information which often contradicts the noble values contained in Pancasila. The lack of a deep understanding of Pancasila, as well as the low political participation among them, are obstacles to the preservation of democracy based on deliberation, mutual cooperation, and social justice. In an effort to overcome this challenge, the right strategy is needed to internalize the values of Pancasila, including through Pancasila-based character education in schools, the use of social media as a means of democracy education, and the celebration of cultural festivals that prioritize diversity and unity. With these steps, it is hoped that Generation Z can better understand and apply the principles of Pancasila democracy in their daily lives, as well as play an active role in maintaining the existence of democracy in Indonesia.
