Abstract

Each child possesses unique talents and potentials, and teachers play a very important role in identifying and nurturing these abilities from an early age. This study aims to explore the types of talents among students at SDN 0405 Hapung, the role of teachers in managing these talents, and the supporting and inhibiting factors involved. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations of teachers at the school. The results show that students have diverse talents, especially in the fields of arts, sports, and academics. Teachers strive to recognize students’ talents through direct observation during classroom activities and extracurricular settings. However, talent management still faces challenges such as limited facilities, lack of training, and teachers’ heavy workload. Supporting factors include teacher enthusiasm, parental involvement, and extracurricular activities. In conclusion, teachers play a very important role in guiding the development of students’ talents, but further support from the school and community is needed to maximize students’ potential.
