Literature Review of 5G NR Throughput and Latency for eMBB

Enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB) adalah salah satu skenario utama dalam implementasi jaringan 5G New Radio (5G NR), yang dirancang untuk mendukung kebutuhan komunikasi data berkecepatan tinggi dan kapasitas besar. Layanan eMBB membutuhkan dua parameter utama untuk menjamin kualitas layanan, yaitu throughput yang tinggi dan latency yang rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mengkaji faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi throughput dan latency pada jaringan 5G NR untuk layanan eMBB melalui studi literatur. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur deskriptif-komparatif dengan mengumpulkan dan menganalisis berbagai referensi ilmiah yang relevan mengenai performansi jaringan 5G NR. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa throughput pada jaringan 5G NR dipengaruhi oleh bandwidth, modulasi, teknologi MIMO, dan kondisi kanal radio, sementara latency dipengaruhi oleh arsitektur jaringan, penjadwalan radio, serta kepadatan trafik. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa implementasi 5G NR pada layanan eMBB dapat menyediakan peningkatan kinerja yang signifikan, meskipun faktor eksternal seperti interferensi dan kualitas sinyal dapat mempengaruhi performansi aktual. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan penting bagi pengembangan jaringan 5G untuk mendukung layanan eMBB yang lebih optimal.
