This study examines the determinants of the open unemployment rate (TPT) across 27 regencies and cities in West Java Province during 2018–2024 using a balanced panel of 189 observations. The explanatory variables are the regency/city minimum wage (UMK), manufacturing gross regional domestic product (PDRB), the labor force participation rate (TPAK), mean years of schooling (RLS), and the number of manufacturing business units. Chow, Hausman, and Lagrange multiplier tests select the fixed effects model (FEM), and inference relies on district-clustered standard errors because diagnostics reveal heteroskedasticity, serial correlation, and cross-sectional dependence. In the baseline FEM, UMK is positively associated with TPT, whereas TPAK, RLS, and manufacturing business units are negatively associated; manufacturing PDRB is negative but only weakly significant.
