Ketersediaan Koleksi Perpustakaan terhadap Pemenuhan Kebutuhan Informasi Pemustaka di LLDIKTI Wilayah X Padang

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the availability of library collections in meeting the information needs of employees and users within the LLDIKTI Region X Padang. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with literature study as the basis for data collection. The LLDIKTI Region X Library serves as a center for providing information to support the implementation of higher education administration tasks, institutional data management, and human resource development. The availability of collections is an important indicator in supporting the fulfillment of user information needs, which include cognitive, affective, personal integration, social integration, and imaginative needs. The results of the study show that the LLDIKTI Region X Padang library has made efforts to provide a relevant collection that supports work needs, but there are still limitations in terms of the completeness of the collection and the physical condition of some of the library materials. Therefore, a more planned collection development strategy is needed so that the library can function optimally in supporting the information needs of users.
