Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pet attachment dengan kebahagiaan pada pemelihara kucing di Surabaya. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini berfokus pada sejauh mana keterikatan emosional individu terhadap kucing peliharaannya berkaitan dengan tingkat kebahagiaan yang dirasakan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Teknik pengambilan partisipan yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dengan jumlah partisipan sebanyak 100 pemelihara kucing berdomisili di Surabaya. Instrumen penelitian terdiri atas skala kebahagiaan serta Lexington Attachment to Pets Scale (LAPS). Hasil uji asumsi menunjukkan data tidak berdistribusi normal, sehingga analisis dilakukan menggunakan korelasi Spearman's Rho. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh nilai korelasi r = 0,235 dengan signifikansi p = 0,018 (p < 0,05), yang menunjukkan hubungan positif signifikan antara pet attachment dan kebahagiaan. Sumbangan efektif pet attachment terhadap kebahagiaan sebesar 5,5%. Artinya, semakin tinggi keterikatan emosional individu terhadap kucing peliharaannya, semakin tinggi pula kebahagiaan yang dirasakan, meskipun pet attachment bukan satu-satunya faktor penentunya.
