Abstract

This research aims to analyze the impact of implementing Management Information Systems. towards increasing company productivity. The method used is a quantitative method by design. Data was collected through questionnaires delivered to respondents who were managers, information technology staff, and employees from various departments in companies that had implemented SIM for at least two years. The selection of respondents was carried out using purposive sampling, with the criteria being that respondents had knowledge and experience regarding the use of SIM in their company's operational activities. The number of samples taken was 150 respondents from various industries to get a comprehensive picture. The research results showed that of the 150 respondents, 78% stated that the Management Information System (SIM) accelerated work processes and 65% assessed the quality of the SIM system as adequate. Regression analysis shows that system quality has a significant effect on productivity (coefficient 0.42), while information quality has a stronger influence (coefficient 0.56). The correlation between SIM usage and operational efficiency reached 0.65, indicating a strong positive relationship. Challenges to SIM implementation include limited budget for maintenance (30% of respondents) and resistance to change (25% of respondents). This research concludes that the quality of information from SIM is more influential than the quality of the system itself. SIM also improves operational efficiency with work accounting processes, but SIM implementation can be disrupted by budget constraints and resistance to change.
