The safety of household electrical installations is a crucial aspect in protecting the public from the risks of fire, electric shock, and equipment damage, which can only be achieved through the application of correct technical standards from the planning stage to maintenance. The results of evaluations in various regions show that all installations observed do not yet meet the 2011 PUIL standards, especially in terms of grounding, conductor cross-sectional area, polarity, and insulation resistance, indicating weak safety implementation and a high potential for danger in residential environments. In accordance with the provisions of PUIL 2011, every low-voltage installation must meet safety requirements such as the selection of conductors according to load current, overcurrent protection, an effective grounding system, and the placement of SNI-standard components as an effort to ensure the reliability and safety of the installation. The study of the installation planning for type 36 houses also confirms that the application of PUIL—including circuit division, MCB selection, and cable selection based on nominal current—contributes significantly to improving the quality of the installation. This study confirms that consistent implementation of PUIL from the design stage to field evaluation is an important strategy for mitigating electrical risks and creating safe, reliable, and electrically suitable dwellings.
