HAKIKAT, PEDOMAN, DAN BENTUK ARTIKEL ILMIAH SEBAGAI DASAR KEMAMPUAN MENULIS MAHASISWA: KAJIAN LITERATUR

Abstract

The ability to write scientific articles is an essential skill for students and researchers to communicate ideas, studies, and research findings systematically and accountably. However, many students do not yet understand the nature, characteristics, and writing guidelines of scientific works. This study aims to describe the nature and urgency of scientific article writing skills, the guidelines for scientific writing, and the form of a scientific article. The method used is a literature study that reviews scientific writing guidelines, books, and article guides published by relevant institutions. The data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis. The results show that scientific works have eleven characteristics: theory-based, fact-based, logical, objective, systematic, valid, clear, meticulous, thorough, written in standard language, and compliant with standard rules. The writing guidelines cover the structure of scientific books and scientific articles, which consist of the initial, main, and final parts. A good scientific article contains a title, a bilingual abstract, keywords, an introduction, methods, results and discussion, a conclusion, and a reference list following the APA 7th edition style. Mastering these guidelines is expected to help students produce high-quality scientific articles.
