Abstract

The development of 21st-century education demands learning models that can enhance critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication skills. This study aims to analyze the concepts, characteristics, and implementation of four popular learning models, namely Project-Based Learning (PjBL), Active Learning, Quantum Learning, and Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). This research employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method based on relevant books and scientific articles. The findings show that PjBL focuses on meaningful project completion, Active Learning emphasizes students’ active engagement, Quantum Learning creates an enjoyable learning atmosphere with positive suggestions, whereas CTL connects learning materials to real-life contexts. These four models are proven effective in supporting modern, student-centered learning. The results provide a conceptual foundation for educators in selecting relevant and adaptive instructional strategies.
