STRATEGI MAHASISWA DALAM PENYUSUNAN KARYA TULIS ILMIAH: STUDI LITERATUR

Abstract

Writing scientific papers is an academic competence that every student is expected to master, yet many students still find it difficult to complete well. This article aims to examine the obstacles students face and the strategies they use in writing scientific papers, as well as the wise use of artificial intelligence. The method used is a literature review of eight Indonesian journal articles published between 2021 and 2025. The data were analyzed descriptively and qualitatively through data reduction, grouping of information, interpretation, and drawing conclusions. The findings indicate that students’ obstacles include difficulty in developing ideas, limited and poorly managed sources, errors in citation and paraphrasing, language mechanics, low self-efficacy and motivation, and unstable mood. The strategies reported in the literature include choosing an interesting topic, reading extensively, adjusting to the target journal’s format, joining writing training and coaching clinics, analyzing mentor texts, using reference managers, seeking feedback from supervisors and peers, building self-efficacy and academic motivation, and using artificial intelligence responsibly. Students therefore need to combine technical, social, psychological, and technological strategies, supported by their institutions.
