Peran KNPI Dalam Meningkatkan Civic Engagement Generasi Muda

Abstract

The National Youth Committee of Indonesia (KNPI) in Bandar Lampung plays a crucial role in enhancing youth civic engagement in various aspects of social, economic, and political development. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this research conducted in-depth interviews with members and officials of KNPI, as well as thematic analysis of the collected data. The findings show that KNPI provides a platform for youth leadership development and character formation through seminars, social events, leadership training, and programs that support the creative economy. It has been proven that youth who actively participate in KNPI programs develop a sense of nationalism, leadership, and social skills, becoming future cadres who can contribute in various disciplines. In addition, KNPI also implements innovative initiatives such as 'Youth Entrepreneurship' to promote financial independence for the next generation. The position of KNPI as a catalyst for social integration and community welfare is strengthened by its partnership with government institutions and other organizations. The significance of KNPI's existence as a key pillar in the processes of regeneration, cadre development, and enhancing the competitiveness of youth in the era of globalization is emphasized by this finding.
