HAKIKAT MANUSIA DALAM PRESPEKTIF ISLAM: LANDASAN PENDIDIKAN YANG BERKEADABAN

This paper explores the nature of humans from various philosophical and religious perspectives, and their relationship to character and moral education. Generally, the essence of humans includes physical, spiritual, moral, and intellectual dimensions, as described in the perspectives of humanistic, psychoanalytic, and behavioral philosophy. In the Islamic view, humans are considered special creatures created by Allah SWT. with great potential, and have the function of being caliphs in the world. This view is deepened through the interpretation of terms such as Al-Insan, Al-Basyar, Bani Adam, and An-Naas in the Qur'an. Furthermore, character and moral education is described as a crucial process in building individuals with good character, based on the values of Pancasila and religious teachings. Education not only advances cognitive aspects, but also affective and psychomotor, as emphasized by figures such as Ki Hajar Dewantara, Driyarkara, and Imam Barnadib. Education is interpreted as a process of humanization that prioritizes human humanity through the inheritance of culture and the instillation of life values. Therefore, understanding the nature of human beings is an important foundation in implementing comprehensive and balanced education.
